BROCCOLI MARCHES ON
📜 The Broccoli Papers

An experimentin community

A manifesto of the #714army. Written by no one in particular, for everyone who stayed.

“I am NOT issuing a meme coin myself. It’s up to the community to do that (or not).”

Genesis

The seed

There was a dog.

A Belgian Malinois. Loyal. Relentless. Always on duty.

One day his human shared a picture and told the world his name.

Broccoli.

That was all. No token. No team. No chosen winner. Only a name, and a door left open: it’s up to the community.

Most people would have read it as a goodbye.

We read it as an invitation.

Broccoli was not born in a boardroom. No fund wrote the cheque. No company drew the plan. He was born from the same idea that built the chain he lives on: freedom of money. The freedom to own, to build, to begin without asking anyone for permission.

So the community did the one thing it had been told it could do.

It decided.

On-chain: the token CZ’S DOG (Broccoli) was launched on four.meme as the first Broccoli token on BNB Chain. Its main PancakeSwap pair was created on 2025-02-13.

The Dark Days

Winter

Then the story broke.

The developer sold and walked away. No team was waiting in the wings. Others came for the name and tried to tell the story as their own.

Some of us stepped forward to lead — and then disappeared. The treasury became inaccessible. Accounts were banned. One by one, the voices went quiet.

Months passed with almost no direction.

This is the part nobody puts on a chart.

The red candles. The silent group chats. The nights lying awake, wondering if you had believed in the wrong thing.

Anyone can believe at the top.

Believing in the dark is something else.

III

Those Who Stayed

The army

And still, people came back.

Not thousands. A handful. Slightly crazy, perhaps — the kind who kept talking about Broccoli when there was no reason to think anyone was listening.

No insider kept it alive. No institution. No hidden hand. Just wallets, a story, and the stubborn decision to keep showing up.

CZ lit the spark.

He did not build the army.

The army built itself — out of strangers who never met, in languages that never matched, holding on to the same small, impossible idea: it isn’t over.

The Fire

Burn

One of us bought roughly one percent of the supply and sent it to CZ.

He burned it.

Not sold. Not kept. Burned.

The person closest to the story chose not to own it. And in that small fire the whole idea became clear: Broccoli belongs to no one — so it can belong to everyone.

The fire never went out. Through four.meme’s buy-and-burns and the hands of holders, Broccoli keeps walking into the flames. Every burn is public. Every burn is forever.

The Experiment

Culture

Crypto fell in love with decentralization as technology.

We are testing something stranger: decentralization as culture.

There is no master plan behind a curtain. No single person can carry this forever, and no one should have to.

What we have is harder to fake than any plan: a story people decided was worth remembering.

So stop asking what Broccoli will do.

Ask what you will do with it.

Make the art. Translate it. Dig through the chain and write down what you find. Tell it in English, in Chinese, in Spanish, in the language your grandmother speaks. Tell it to someone who has never owned a coin — because a story only insiders understand is an echo chamber, not a movement.

If you have ten followers, use ten. If you have a million, use a million.

The size of your wallet is not the size of your contribution.

Don’t wait for a developer. Don’t wait for a whale, an influencer or an exchange.

Don’t wait for permission.

VI

The Path Ahead

Spring

Winter shaped us.

We know what it is to lose a treasury, a voice, a leader — and keep walking anyway.

That is why we carry no roadmap. A roadmap is a promise, and we have learned what promises are worth. We carry something else: a direction, and a question.

Can attention become culture?
Can culture become community?
Can a community outlive the people who started it?

We don’t know.

We intend to find out.

To those who lived the dark days: you are the foundation.

To those arriving now: you inherit what was built in the dark. Carry it well.

One dog. One community. One story.

Broccoli marches on. 🐾

Leave the seed in the hands of the people.
And see what grows.
